Dimitrios Skaltsas

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Dimitrios is a co-founder and the Chief Executive Officer at Intelligencia. He has spent the past 10 years in healthcare and life sciences leadership roles. Before Intelligencia, Dimitris led McKinsey’s New Ventures for big data and AI in the Pharmaceutical R&D sector. Prior to that, he was a management consultant supporting Healthcare and Life Sciences clients in North America and Europe. He serves as an Executive in Residence for Digital and AI at INSEAD, and is an investor and advisor to early stage ventures.

Dimitrios has an MBA from INSEAD and a law degree from UCL and University of Athens.

Vangelis Vergetis, PhD

Co-Founder

Vangelis is a co-founder at Intelligencia. He is currently the CEO of Epikast, Inc., a company that partners with biopharmaceutical companies as they engage their most important stakeholders: patients, caregivers, and physicians.

Vangelis has been working in the intersection of healthcare, technology, and data science for almost 20 years. He started his career as a consultant at McKinsey and at Hakluyt, where he spent twelve years advising biopharmaceutical executives on several topics - particularly in launching drugs across disease areas, and in designing and implementing their commercial models and infrastructure. He is a board member and member of the executive committee at the Alliance for AI in Healthcare (AAIH), and a former member of the advisory board for Cornell’s Bowers College of Computing & Information Science (CIS).

Vangelis holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Computer Science from Cornell University.

Maria Chiam

Director of Customer Success

Maria is the Director of Customer Success. Prior to joining Intelligencia, she was part of Komodo Health's Customer Success team serving biotech, pharma and patient advocacy clients and has previously worked in Biotech and Pharma in business development, product management and clinical research roles. Maria is a clinically trained pharmacist and graduate from the College of Pharmacy, Monash University and holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, Australia.

Andreas Dimakakos, PhD, MBA

Director of Clinical Data

Andreas is the Director of Clinical Data at Intelligencia, currently responsible for managing the company’s entire internal clinical database. He has spent the majority of his career as an academic researcher with multiple publications in the fields of Oncology and Immuno-Oncology. His research is primarily focused on the ways colorectal cancer evades immune surveillance, and identifying novel molecules involved in prostate cancer metastasis.

Andreas holds a BS in Biology, MS and PhD in Molecular Biology from University of Athens, and an MBA from the ALBA Graduate Business School.

Marianna Esposito, PhD

Business Development Director

Marianna is a Business Development Director at Intelligencia. Professionally trained as a Scientist, she did her post-doc in Immunology at King’s College London & NHS Foundation Trust. Thereafter she moved to the CRO industry, managing R&D and Clinical Operations at Quest Diagnostics Clinical Trials, UK. Prior to Intelligencia, she spent 5 years in Kenya as Business Development Manager for East and Southern Africa for Sight Diagnostics, a fast-growing healthcare start-up headquartered in Israel.

Marianna holds a PhD in Cellular & Molecular Biology from the Open University of London and MS & BS degrees in Biological sciences.

Alexandra Ferraro

Head of Marketing

Alex leads the marketing function at Intelligencia AI where she works on both strategy and campaign execution to elevate the organization’s brand and drive demand for its AI-driven solution to help de-risk drug development. Prior to this role, she held various marketing positions in the health tech and pharma space. Most recently she was the Vertical Marketing Manager for the life sciences and health tech areas for the Healthcare Business of LexisNexis® Risk Solutions where she was instrumental in the launch of the company’s next-generation tokenization solution in January 2022.

Previously she was with IQVIA where she served as a U.S. Portfolio Marketing Manager for the Real-world Solutions and Medical Affairs Centers of Excellence driving awareness and lead generation, identifying new media partners, leading market research, and collaborating with sales teams and subject matter experts on campaign execution. Prior to IQVIA, Alex led public relations for the specialty healthcare technology company, modmed. During her tenure there her responsibilities grew to encompass content development, corporate PR strategy and execution, social media, and demand generation.

Before transitioning to the B2B and health tech industry, Alex began her career at a boutique public relations and social media firm where she propelled their social media capabilities and launched its internship program. Alex is an active volunteer with the George Snow Scholarship Fund as an application reviewer and interviewer for their annual scholarship program for students pursuing a degree in the healthcare field. She attended Furman University in South Carolina on an academic and athletic scholarship, graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s in communication studies, and has earned various marketing certifications from Florida Atlantic University, The University of South Florida, and Forrester.

On a personal note, Alex enjoys the warm weather in sunny South Florida where she spends quality time with her family, testing out new recipes in the kitchen, traveling both near and far, reading fiction novels at the beach, and indoor cycling.

Maria Georganaki, PhD

Director of Product

Maria is the Director of Product at Intelligencia. Maria is a molecular cancer biologist with a background in Immuno-Oncology. During her PhD and Post-Doc studies, Maria has participated as an early-stage researcher in the EU-funded Marie Curie Initial Training Network TIMCC and has co-authored 8 academic publications in leading journals.

Maria holds a PhD in Medical Science and an MS in Molecular Medicine from Uppsala University, and BD in Biology from University of Athens.

Heracles Kasimis

Director of Engineering

Heracles is a Director of Engineering at Intelligencia, overseeing the development and maintenance of company's software platform and architecture. Prior to Intelligencia, he worked as a Software Engineer for 12+ years in Information Technology sector, designing, developing and maintaining numerous web applications and services.

Heracles has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Southampton.

Gerry Liaropoulos

Director of Data Science

Gerry leads the development of Intelligencia's Machine Learning algorithms. Prior to joining Intelligencia, he spent several years as a quant trader for various asset classes and has built quantitative trading models in commodities, ETFs and futures. He serves as a Machine Learning instructor at Propulsion Academy in Zurich.

Gerry holds an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford, a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NTUA and has completed Advanced Studies in Computer Science at ETH Zürich.

Edoardo Madussi, MBA

Business Development Director

As a Business Development Director, Edo supports clinical development, portfolio management, and business development and licensing teams in the biopharma sector. He focuses on how implementing Intelligencia AI’s artificial intelligence platform enhances decision-making processes in drug development. Edoardo’s collaborative mindset and creative thinking are consistently geared toward achieving sustainable results for current and future customers.

His career includes pivotal roles in globally recognized firms, such as the Petrone Group, where he successfully launched the Clinical Trials Business Unit, founding its presence in the U.S. and promoting cross-functional integration across the group’s affiliates worldwide. As the Country Head and Managing Director, he initiated and led business development efforts, securing contracts with international partners in the U.S., Canada, and LATAM. In his previous role as Commercial Director of Business Development at Inceptua, Edoardo transformed the Clinical Trial Supply Services landscape, consistently innovating the space by introducing cutting-edge practices.

Edoardo holds two master’s degrees, one from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, specializing in international business administration, corporate strategy, and health economics. The second was in Health Management from the University of Lugano, Switzerland (USI), where he focused on health communication systems, epidemiology, and outcome research. His academic journey included research on the positive effects of doctor-patient interactions on health outcomes.

Outside of work, Edoardo founded Mad4cycling, a not-for-profit organization that combines his passion for cycling and networking, uniting people from around the world. Additionally, he is a graduate of the prestigious Swiss Officer’s Academy in Bern, Switzerland.

Phoebe Prosalika

Director of People Operations

Phoebe is the Director of People Operations at Intelligencia. Previously, she was leading the department of People Operations at Beat and was actively involved in scaling the company internationally, with a focus on culture and employee engagement.

Phoebe graduated from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Harokopio University and obtained her MBA at the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Antonis Stampoulis, PhD

Director of Engineering

Antonis is a Director of Engineering at Intelligencia. Prior to joining Intelligencia, Antonis worked with software teams in fin-tech, SaaS platforms, and retail, serving as the Director of Engineering at Originate NYC, and as a freelance consultant. His roles have included being an individual contributor, a tech-lead, a programming language designer, an engineering manager and a strategic advisor. Most recently, he has been the course creator for Terra.do's Climate Change for Software Engineers course.

Antonis is a PhD graduate Computer Science from Yale University and a post-doc researcher at MIT CSAIL, specializing in programming languages. He completed his undergraduate studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering at NTUA.

Afroditi Katika

Director of Product

Afroditi joined Intelligencia's Product team from the BEAT app (ride-hailing app in Greece and Latin America) where she was responsible for determining the best drivers for a passenger. Prior to that, she spent 10 years in the UK and Italy working in the transportation and media industries.

Afroditi holds an engineering degree in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patra and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Manchester. She is currently doing her thesis on sentiment analysis from Twitter for a second MSc in Healthcare Informatics.

Nikos Papadopoulos

Director of Finance

Nikos is the Director of Finance at Intelligencia. He also runs an accounting and consulting firm in Athens, Greece since 2013.

Nikos holds an MSc in Financial Accounting from the Athens University of Economics and Business, while his bachelor's degree was in Financial and Banking Management from the University of Piraeus.

Marina Anastasiou

Senior Scientific Associate

Marina is a Senior Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Prior to that, she was working as a freelance vascular immunology consultant. She has studied endothelial innate sensing in the context of inflammation, cardiovascular disease and peripheral vascular injury.

She holds a PhD in cardiovascular immunology with double affiliation with the University of Crete Medical School and Tufts University School of Graduate Biomedical Studies.  She holds a MSc in Molecular Basis of Human Disease from the University of Crete Medical School and a BS in Biology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Konstantinos Annousakis

Data Scientist

Konstantinos is a Data Scientist at Intelligencia. During his studies, he focused on Image Processing and Machine Learning, specifically the discrimination of Photographs from Computer Graphics Images.

He has a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Patras.

Elisavet Bachtsi

Senior Scientific Associate

Elisavet is a Senior Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Prior to that, she worked as a researcher at Amsterdam UMC-Locatie AMC and Vumc Cancer Center Amsterdam focusing on immunotherapy for hematological malignancies. 

She holds a MSc in Biomedical Sciences, Track Oncology from the University of Amsterdam and a BSc in Biology with a specialization in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Biotechnology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Bara Badwan, PhD

Data Scientist

Bara is a Data Scientist at with Intelligencia. He is currently focused on adapting AI tools to better predict therapeutic effectiveness. Bara obtained his PhD from Yale University where he researched the early visual system in Damon Clark’s computational neuroscience group.

Previously, he had studied chemistry and chemical engineering at MIT while working for Ed Boyden’s Synthetic Neurobiology lab. Bara is an author of a number of publications in a variety of scientific fields.

Karla Baires

Customer Success Manager

Karla is a Customer Success Manager at Intelligencia and brings diverse experience in account management and strategic engagement. After studying Public Health at UC San Diego, Karla jumped into healthcare operations and worked across many different functions including care delivery operations, benefits management, and internal audit.

She is passionate about asking tough questions to identify both business opportunities and potential risks, and she’s experienced in helping customers shift their perspectives to better align with company goals.

George Bardi

Senior Front-end Engineer

George is a Senior Front-end Engineer at Intelligencia. Previously, he worked at Star Channel as Software Engineer for 4 years and prior to that he worked on various software development projects.

George holds a BS in Computer Science from University of Patras.

Alberto Benroubi

Principal Engineer

Alberto is a Principal Data Engineer at Intelligencia. He has worked in Data and Machine Learning fields in the past in Maritime and Telecommunications sectors.

Alberto holds an MS in Machine Learning from Imperial College London and a BS in Informatics from University of Piraeus.

George Cheliotis

Principal DevOps Engineer

George is a Principal DevOps Engineer at Intelligencia. Prior to joining Intelligencia, he worked as a DevOps Chapter Lead in Vodafone, with a focus on establishing a portfolio of DevOps processes, practices, and tools to empower and support delivery teams in continuous integration, continuous deployment, and rapid delivery across value streams. 

George holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Patras.

Christina Diamanti

Senior Scientific Associate

Christina is a Senior Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Previously, she worked as a biologist at Tzartos private laboratory for diagnosis and research in Neuroimmunology and as a medical representative for primary care at Chiesi Hellas. She participated in research programs regarding toxicology, neuroimmunology, thyroid cancer, neuromarketing, and behavioral analysis.

She holds an MSc in Neoplasmatic diseases from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an MSc in Economics and Management of Health from the University of Piraeus, and a BSc in Biology from the University of Patras. She studies Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at Athens Synthesis Center.

Eva Digalaki

Scientific Associate

Eva is a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Previously, she spent time in various locations across Europe for scientific education and training.

She holds a BSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Democritus University of Thrace and a MSc in Fundamental Neuroscience from Maastricht University.

Katerina Dimitropoulou

Senior Scientific Associate

Katerina is a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Prior to that, her research focused on the nervous system, in particular on neuroprotection.

Katerina obtained her MS in Molecular Biomedicine from the Medical School of Athens and Biomedical Sciences Research Center, Alexander Fleming, and also holds a BS in Biology from the University of Patras.

Aris is a Senior Product Manager at Intelligencia. Prior to joining us, he spent most of his career working with online products, mainly at Skroutz and OPAP. He holds a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NTUA and an MBA from AUEB.

Marina Gkini

Marina is a Senior Product Designer at Intelligencia bringing visions to life by creating mockups and interaction flows for Intelligencia users working closely with product managers and engineers. Marina brings in over 10 years of experience where she approaches design holistically unifying it across it’s varying levels - workflow, experience, interaction, visual to provide a seamless experience.

Nikolina Giotopoulou, PhD

Senior Scientific Associate

Nikolina is a Senior Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Previously, she worked as a PhD-candidate in Karolinska Institutet focused on Oncology and as an Intern in Pfizer, focused on Cancer Genetics.

She holds a PhD in Medical Science from Karolinska Institutet, a MSc in Biomedicine from Karolinska Institutet and a BSc/Integrated MSc in Applied Biology and Biotechnology from University of Ioannina.

Francesco Grillo

Senior Scientific Associate

Francesco is a Senior Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Previously, he worked at IQVIA as a pharmacovigilance officer, and at Nature Research in editorial production. He is a mentoring member of the King’s College London Neuroscience Society.

He holds an MRes in Translational Neuroscience from University College London, and a BSc in Biomedical Science from King’s College London.

Orsalia Hazapis, PhD

Bioinformatics

Orsalia is a Bioinformatician at Intelligencia and collaborates with the Laboratory of Histology-Embryology and Molecular Carcinogenesis Group at the Medical School of the University of Athens. Before joining Intelligencia, she worked as a bioinformatician in Max Delbrück Center in Berlin. Previously, she was a bioinformatician at HybriStat and BCSRC Alexander Fleming Institute. She has also worked as an electronic engineer at the University of Frankfurt in a collaboration with CERN LHC.

Orsalia is a PhD candidate in Bioinformatics and RNA biology at Max Delbrück Center, holds an MS in Microelectronics and a BS in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from the Technical Institute of Piraeus.

Nafsika Karamasioti

Senior Scientific Associate

Nafsika is a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Her research experience so far, through her work in FORTH (Crete), CRG (Barcelona), BRFAA and BSRC Alexander Fleming (Athens), focuses on immunology and oncology.

Maria Kassi

Senior Customer Success Associate

Maria is a Senior Customer Success Associate at Intelligencia. She is a clinical pharmacist, specialized in oncology and hematology having worked in Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust being responsible for conventional treatment and clinical trials in cancer. She has also worked on statistical analysis of hospital data to identify and mitigate risks in collaboration with the University of Glasgow.

Maria holds an MS in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Glasgow, Advanced Clinical Pharmacy Diploma from the Queen’s University of Belfast (QUB) and a Diploma in Pharmacy from University of Athens.

Marilena Katsa

Scientific Manager

Marilena is a Scientific Manager at Intelligencia. Before joining Intelligencia, she worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry as a Quality Assurance Officer. Prior to that, she conducted her MSc in Molecular Biomedicine including Mechanisms of Disease, Molecular & Cellular Therapies & Bio-innovation, where she was focused on lung cancer immunology. As part of her research, she had also worked on Genetics and Molecular Mechanisms of Neurodevelopmental Disorders at RadbouUMC, Netherlands.

Marilena holds a BS on Biochemistry and Biotechnology from University of Thessaly, Greece.

Maria Kokkali, PhD

Senior Scientific Associate

Maria is a Senior Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. She is a neurobiologist with over 6 years’ work experience in neurodegenerative diseases and regenerative medicine and a summer research internship at the division of in-vitro fertilisation of the University Hospital of Ioannina. Prior to joining Intelligencia, Maria completed her PhD studies in Neuropharmacology at the University of Crete. Her Doctoral thesis was particularly focused on the physiological role and pharmacological interventions at the neurotrophin receptors in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) through the regulation of adult hippocampal neurogenesis.

She holds an MSc in Neuroscience (emphasizing on Neural Stem Cells and Nervous System Repair) from King’s College London and a BSc/Integrated Master’s in Biological Applications and Technology from the UoA.

Vasiliki Kollia

Scientific Associate

Vassia is a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. The past few years she has worked as a Senior Medical Translator/Reviewer/Editor, undertaking the full diligence of clinical trial-related documents. Her research interests and achievements have focused on the neuroscience field, as she has successfully participated in research projects/publications regarding neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

Vassia holds an MSc in Molecular Medicine from the Medical School of the University of Athens and a BSc in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Thessaly.

Ioanna Kouremenou

Data Analyst

Ioanna is a Data Analyst at Intelligencia. Previously, she worked at the UPMC in Paris and collaborated with the University of Queensland.

Ioanna holds an MS in Clinical Neurodevelopmental Sciences from KCL and BS in Neuroscience from Cardiff University.

Alexandra Kourgiantaki, PhD

Senior Scientific Associate

Alexandra is a Senior Scientific Associate in Intelligencia. She has worked as a postdoctoral researcher in University College London for the last 4 years. Main focus of her research was the restoration of muscle function in mouse models of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis using optogenetics and the simulation of the pathological microenvironment in microfluidics. Prior to this, Alexandra completed her PhD studies in Neuroscience and Neuropharmacology in the Medical School of Crete where she developed pioneering strategies for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and CNS injuries. Small molecules, collagen scaffolds and stem cells were her main expertise. During her PhD studies she had also been a visitor student in University of Cambridge in the Brain Repair Centre in Addenbrooke’s hospital where she got trained on murine spinal cord injury models. 

Alexandra has a MRes in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Manchester and a BSc in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Thessaly.

Karolos Koutsoulelos

Principal Engineer

Karolos is a Principal Data Engineer at Intelligencia. Throughout his career, Karolos has been building SaaS applications in various industries. Before joining Intelligencia, he worked in the hospitality industry for several years developing solutions such as custom web applications and integration services for customers globally. He is a member of the academic staff of Athens Tech College.

Karolos holds an MS in Advanced Software Engineering from the University of Sheffield and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire.

Evgenia Kyriakidou

Senior Scientific Associate

Evgenia is a Senior Scientific associate at Intelligencia.Prior to working at Intelligencia she spent the last years at healthcare, particularly as a community pharmacist.

Evgenia holds a pharmacist degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a MSc at Clinical and Industrial Pharmacology from Medical School, AUTH. She has also Post-graduated studies at Nanomedicine and Clinical trials.

Maria Lala

Maria is a Senior Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Prior to that, her research focused on the genetic background and molecular interactions underlying carcinogenesis in lung and thyroid tumors.

Maria holds an MSc in Molecular Biomedicine from the Medical School of Athens and a BSc in Biology from NKUA.

Eva Loizou, PhD

Customer Success Manager

Eva is a Customer Success Manager at Intelligencia. Prior to joining Intelligencia, she worked as a Product Development Manager at NIPD Genetics bringing to the market novel genetic tests. She has also served as an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs, covering healthcare and biotech companies.

Eva earned her Biology degree from the National and Kapodistrian University in Athens and her MSc in Cancer from the University College London (UCL). She also holds a Ph.D degree in Molecular Biology and Cancer Genetics from Weill Cornell Medicine and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in NY.

Natassa Lioliou

Scientific Manager

Natassa is a Scientific Manager at Intelligencia. Prior to joining Intelligencia, she worked as an academic researcher at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki focusing on Molecular Pathway Analysis.

She has a BS in Biology from the University of Patras and an MS in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Angela Malliaroudakis

Angela is a Senior People Operations Associate. Prior to joining Intelligencia, she worked as a Talent Acquisition Analyst for a year while also finishing off her bachelor's degree. 

She holds a BSc in Human Resource Management and Business Leadership from the American College of Greece.

Marina Mantsopoulou

Scientific Associate

Marina is a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Previously, she worked as a research fellow in Aquaculture Genetics focusing on genome editing for disease resistance at the Roslin Institute at the University of Edinburgh. 

She holds a MScR in Genetics and Genomics from the University of Edinburgh. As an undergraduate student she studied Biology with a specialization in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Biotechnology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Dimitris Markonis

Data Scientist

Dimitris is a Data Scientist at Intelligencia. In his past positions, he has developed Machine Learning algorithms in various fields such as medical imaging, shipping, cyber security and workflow automation. 

He holds a PhD in Medical image retrieval from University of Geneva, an MSc in Information Processing and Electronics from University of Patras and a diploma in Applied Mathematics from University of Crete.

Panagiotis Marousis

QA Test Engineer

Panagiotis is a QA Test Engineer at Intelligencia. Previously, he worked as a QA Test Engineer at Vodafone Greece and as a QA Test Engineer at Efood. He was also a shareholder and a founding member of Delivers.gr.

Panagiotis has attended the Department of Electronic Computer Systems Engineering of the Piraeus Univeristy of Applied Sciences.

Dorita Metallinou

Scientific Associate

Dorita is a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Previously, she worked as a Clinical Trial Coordinator in Hematology Clinical Trials in Theagenio Cancer Hospital of Thessaloniki.

Dorita holds an MSc in Inflammation and Inflammatory Diseases from University of Paris and a BS in Biology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Dimitra Mitsiou

Scientific Associate

Dimitra is a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Prior to that, she completed the 18-month Internship Program of Novartis Hellas. In its framework, she rotated between Medical Affairs, Commercial and Customer Excellence. She has also worked as a Research Assistant with a focus on Neuroimmunology and Rheumatology at Karolinska Institutet.

She holds an MSc in Biomedicine from Karolinska Institutet and a BSc in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Thessaly.

Eirini Monogiou

Senior Scientific Associate

Eirini is a Senior Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. During her studies, she focused on the fields of molecular diagnostics and the development of lab-on-chip devices, applied in healthcare, as well as DNA repair and DNA Damage Response network.

Eirini holds an MS in Molecular Biomedicine from the Medical School of Athens and BS in Biology from University of Crete.

Ioannis Mourelatos

Ioannis is a Senior Data Analyst at Intelligencia. He has spent the last 15 years in data driven roles in the maritime and public opinion sectors. Before Intelligencia, Ioannis spent 4 years as a data analyst at the Signal Group, designing and implementing numerous data pipelines and services.

Ioannis holds a MSc in Informatics from University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Statistics from Athens University of Economics and Business.

Katerina Nikolouzou

Talent Acquisition Associate

Katerina is a Talent Acquisition Associate at Intelligencia. She has worked as an IT Talent Acquisition Consultant and prior to that, she spent 2 years working for a brokerage firm in custody and clearing. 
She holds an MSc in Strategic Human Resource Management from Alba Business School and a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Deree College.

Giannis Panagiotakis

Data Scientist

Giannis is a Data Scientist at Intelligencia. Previously, he was working as a Data Scientist on various projects, the majority of them related to Natural Language Processing. 

He holds an MSc in Statistics from the Athens University of Economics and Business, a BSc in Computer Science from the same institution, and a BSc in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Elena Panoutsou

Senior Talent Acquisition Partner

Elena is a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at Intelligencia. She is an HR professional with more than 10 years of experience and thorough knowledge of International Talent Acquisition. Before Intelligencia, Elena was the Talent Acquisition Senior Supervisor at Avramar, and prior to that, she was International Talent Acquisition Specialist, EMEA in the IT and Hospitality Industry. 

She holds an MBA from Derby University and an Executive Diploma in HR from Pearson Edexcel.

Eleni Papadaki

Scientific Associate

Eleni is a Scientific Associate in Intelligencia. Prior to that, her research focused on translational Immuno-Oncology and especially on immune escape mechanisms in breast cancer.

Eleni holds an MSc in Oncology from Medical School of UOC and a BSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics from DUTH.

Nefeli Papadopoulou

Scientific Associate

Nefeli is a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Prior to joining Intelligencia, she worked on in silico approaches to antibody engineering at Collège de France and at the Centre for Genomic Regulation. She also served as a health policy trainee at the European Commission and as a junior consultant for the WHO.

She holds a Dual MS in Computational Biology and Developmental Biology from Sorbonne Université and a BSc in Biomedical Science from King’s College London.

Konstantina Saraki

Scientific Manager

Konstantina is a Scientific Manager at Intelligencia. Previously, she worked as a researcher in Academic Clinical Research focused on Oncology and as a Study Coordinator of Clinical trials led by Abbvie and Zeincro.

She holds an MS in Biosciences from University of Bath and a BS Hons in Molecular Biology from University of Hertfordshire.

Eva Reed

Executive Assistant

Eva is the Executive Assistant at Intelligencia. Prior to joining Intelligencia, she worked for a Senior Partner that managed the mid Atlantic region at McKinsey & Co. She also supported the CEO of ABN Amro and spent many years working on the Equities trading floor of Goldman Sachs.

Eva holds a BS in Accounting from William Paterson University.

Michael Schizas

Bioinformatician

Michaelis a Bioinformatician at Intelligencia. Before joining the team he was providing bioinformatics support in a breast cancer lab and a cancer immunology lab. He analyzed various next-generation sequencing experiments in multiple projects that resulted in the publication of papers in scientific journals.

He completed a BSc in computer science at the University of Cyprus and holds a Master's degree in Computational Biology from NYU.

Dimitris Skyvalidas

Scientific Associate

Dimitris is a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Prior to joining Intelligencia, his research focused on the immunoregulatory action of some pharmaceutical compounds in psoriatic and neurological diseases. In addition, he worked as a medical sales representative for one and a half year.

Dimitris holds an MS in Clinical Applications of Molecular Medicine from UoT and BS in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from University of Thessaly.

Petros Stathakos, PhD

Senior Scientific Manager

Petros is a Senior Scientific Manager at Intelligencia. He is a neuroscientist/biochemist with over 7 years of experience inn the field of neuroscience. Before joining Intelligencia, Petros was a research scientist at Eli Lilly focusing on developing human stem cell-derived neuronal assays for neurodegenerative disease drug discovery.

Petros holds a PhD in Translational Health Sciences (Neuroscience) from University of Bristol UK and a BS (Hons) in Neuroscience with Psychology from the University of Aberdeen, UK.

Anthi Trasta, PhD

Senior Scientific Associate

Anthi is a Senior Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Before joining Intelligencia, Anthi worked as a Medical Writer at a leading Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) and a Medical Representative within healthcare. She has also written editorials for EMBO Reports.

Anthi holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Heidelberg and EMBL, an MS in Neuroscience from Imperial College London and a BS in Biology from University of Athens.

John Troumpis

John is a Software and Data Engineer at Intelligencia. He has spent the past 3 years working as a software developer, with a focus on backend and writing beautiful code, at various organizations.

John holds an MEng in Computer Science from the University of Bristol.

Mihalis is a Senior DevOps Engineer at Intelligencia. Previously, he worked as a DevOps Engineer at Encode and as an Automation Engineer/Working Student at Nokia.

Antonis Valavanis

Antonis is a Front-end Engineer at Intelligencia. He has spent the past 5 years working  as a software engineer in various tech companies, both as Front-End and Full-Stack Engineer.  

Antonis holds a BS in Informatics Engineering from the Technological Institute of Crete.

Julia Vardaki

Senior Scientific Associate

Julia is a Senior Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Before joining Intelligencia, she spent
2 years at Karolinska Institutet and 5 years at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she worked in the field of cancer cell biology investigating many tumor types. She focused on the roles of cancer cell derived exosomes in tumor microenvironment and the possible use of exosomes as biomarkers’ source for prediction of response to different treatments (chemotherapy, radiopharmaceuticals and immune checkpoint therapy). She is also an author/co-author in scientific publications in high impact factor journals.

Julia holds a BSc in Biology from University of Athens, a MSc in Molecular Medicine from Uppsala University and finishing her PhD at Karolinska Institutet.

Emma Vlachou

Scientific Associate

Emma is a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia. Prior to joining Intelligencia, she worked in the field of Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information for Medwork and for Amgen Hellas.

Emma holds a BSc in Molecular and Cell Biology and an MSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Strasbourg, focusing on the imaging of RNA polymerase II transcription.
